Robin van Persie could return to Arsenal after Fenerbahce admitted the striker is on the move, report the Independent.
The Dutchman is free to leave the Turkish club and the Premier League is thought to be the striker’s favoured destination.
Earlier this week, Fenerbahce president Azil Yildirim said: “Van Persie? We’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold.”
Van Persie scored 132 goals in 277 appearances for the Gunners between 2004 and 2012.
Lacazette Set To Stay At Lyon
Alexandre Lacazette will not leave Lyon this summer, claims the French club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas.
The 25-year-old hit man has been linked with moves to both Arsenal and West Ham but he is expected to stay put in Ligue 1 for another season.
“We have had a few calls, but Alexandre will stay,” Aulas told Canal+.
“I think it is his desire and the coach [Bruno Genesio] counts on him.”
Roma Considering Szczesny On Permanent Deal?
Roma are considering swooping for Wojciech Szczesny in a permanent transfer,according to the Daily Express.
The goalkeeper is set to return to Arsenal after ending his year-long loan at the Serie A giants.
But it is thought that he would like to return to Italy where he would be the first-choice goalkeeper, as oppose to playing second fiddle to Petr Cech at Arsenal.
Roma are believed to be considering a £15million offer for Szczesny and talks are reportedly set to take place this week.
Arteta Pens Open Letter To Arsenal Fans
Mikel Arteta has penned an open letter to Arsenal fans confirming his departure from the club to take up a coaching role at Manchester City.
The Spaniard will join Pep Guardiola’s backroom staff at the Etihad having decided to hang up his boots at the age of 34 having made a combined total of 259 appearances across spells with Everton and the Gunners.
Arteta describes his time at Arsenal as ‘an honour and a privilege’ and says he is ‘incredibly excited’ to work under Guardiola.
