Fenerbache Coach: Explosive Emenike Our Main Weapon

Fenerbahce coach Vitor Pereira is optimistic that Emmanuel Emenike will be one of the club’s deadliest players in the coming season following the Nigerian’s form in pre-season.

Pereira admitted in a post-match interview with Fanatik after his side’s second win in pre-season that Emenike will be a good option to unsettle league opponents as Fenerbahce hope to wrest the title back from Besiktas.

“Emenike is an explosive player and he gets his opponents unsettled with his runs. We don’t have explosive players like him in the team which is a good one for us this season,” the manager said.

“I’m being sincere, Emenike will be one of our most important weapons this season.”

Emenike took his pre-season goal tally to three goals on Wednesday when he scored a brace for Fenerbache in the 2-1 win over Panathinaikos.

He had earlier opened his goal-scoring account in Fenerbache’s  3-1 win over Romanian side Voluntari last Saturday.
