President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has urged Nigerians not to panic over the reported rejection of the Super Eagles coaching job by Frenchman Paul Le Guen, insisting that the federation is on top of the situation, Complete Sports Nigeria reports.‎

Pinnick said  that Le Guen was only recommended and had not been offered the job yet by the NFF, adding that the French man had the right to turn it down if he was not satisfied with the conditions attached to the job
“The areas we disagreed with Le Guen were over his assistant coaches and his insistence to live abroad and come to Nigeria only when the the Super Eagles have a game. We say no to a foreign based coach because we want someone who would also help develop our coaches,” Pinnick said.
“He was only recommended by the Technical and Development committee and we have yet to meet to discuss and make the offer so he is at liberty to pull out of the negotiations if he is not comfortable with our conditions. We are working and very soon we shall let Nigerians know our next step.”
