Romelu Lukaku Has The Ability To Transform Arsenal Into Premier League Champions

Could Lukaku be the key to Arsenal's Premier League title aspirations?

Rumours have been circulating in recent weeks regarding the future of Romelu Lukaku.

With some of Europe’s biggest clubs said to be interested in securing his services, it is hard to imagine that he will remain at Everton next season.
Arsenal are a club in desperate need of a goalscorer. They already have the physically imposing Olivier Giroud, but his finishing has never quite been up to the standards that are necessary to make an impact in big games.
Although the fee needed to prize Lukaku away from Goodison Park would likely be extortionate, he would be worth every penny to Arsenal. At 23 years of age, he still has so much time ahead of him to improve even further.
His playing style has drawn comparisons with Chelsea legend Didier Drogba. The Ivorian was 25 when he moved to the Premier league, and it took him a couple of years before he truly established himself as a world-class striker.
It could be argued that the Belgium international is far closer to the finished article at this stage of his career than Drogba was at the same age.
For years, Drogba tormented Arsene Wenger’s side. He proved a thorn in the side of the Gunners for the entirety of his time at Stamford Bridge, with Arsenal’s defence incapable of dealing with the power and strength that he possessed.
The north London outfit should seize the initiative in the chase for Lukaku’s signature by offering whatever the Toffees want, and in doing so, they could have their very own Drogba.
Lukaku would provide Wenger with so many more different options than he has at the moment. Not only is he an awesome physical specimen with incredible power, but he also has bundles of pace, which makes him near to impossible to defend against.
He could be used as a target man to relieve pressure on the Gunners back four when they are under pressure. Something that Olivier Giroud is more than capable of doing, but Lukaku provides the extra threat of being able to turn and accelerate away from defenders, which is why he is so dangerous.
If Arsenal are serious about challenging for major honours over the next few years, they must make the Everton man their primary target, and although they would almost certainly face stiff competition from some of the world’s biggest clubs, they are now in a position where they can compete financially with the best.
This summer will be one of the most important during Wenger’s reign, and only time will tell how serious he is about bringing the Premier League title to the Emirates Stadium for the first time.
