Eden Hazard has revealed he is actively helping international teammate Michy Batshuayi settle in at Chelsea as quickly as possible, 90min reports.
The winger told Chelsea TV that he is aiding his Belgium compatriot in learning English so that Batshuayi can begin conversing with the rest of the Londoners’ first-team squad.
Batshuayi joined Chelsea from Marseille for £32m in the summer, signing a five-year deal in the process.
The striker has already bagged three goals in his first six appearances for his new side, including a brace in the 3-2 EFL Cup victory over Bristol Rovers last month.
And Hazard believes there is a lot more to come from Batshuayi, who he knows well from the pair’s time playing together for Belgium’s national side.
He said:
“He’s a top man.”
“He is learning a lot. He is trying to speak English. I am helping him, I don’t know if I am a good teacher but I try.”
“He gives everything on the pitch and in training. In him and Diego (Costa) we have two very good strikers.”
“Sometimes we play with one (striker), sometimes with two.”
“It’s difficult for him to sometimes be on the bench but he is still young, he has a lot to do with Chelsea, and I hope he will score a lot of goals.”
