Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has been left out of the latest England Under-21 squad for the final two 2017 European Championships qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Bosnia & Herzegovina as a recall to the senior side beckons, 90min reports.
Rashford, who has been nominated for the prestigious 2016 Golden Boy award, scored a hat-trick on his debut for the Under-21 Three Lions earlier this month.
The teenager was part of England’s senior squad at Euro 2016, but a lack of playing time at club level in August had seen him omitted from Sam Allardyce’s first selection for the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.
However, things change quickly in football; Allardyce is gone and Rashford has featured regularly for United since August. Under-21 boss Gareth Southgate has taken temporary charge of the full national team and the youngster is set to return to the big time.
England will take on Malta at Wembley on 8th October before travelling to Ljubljana to face Slovenia three days later.
