Mikel Obi Praises Chelsea Spirit Vs Swansea, Hails Costa Strike
Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi has admitted that the Blues had to fight hard to earn a 2-2 draw in Sunday’s English Premier League fixture against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium in Wales, reports Complete Sports Nigeria reports.
Mikel who was not listed for the clash was pleased the former EPL champions showed enough fight to earn a comeback to stay unbeaten in the league despite the result.
The 29-year-old Nigeria captain is also delighted with Diego Costa’s overhead kick which salvaged a point for Antonio Conte’s side after goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Leroy Fer had cancelled out the Spaniard’s 18th minute opener.
Mikel tweeted:
“A tough game yesterday but determination and fight means we’re still unbeaten. And that @diegocosta goal.”
Chelsea face Liverpool who smashed reigning champions 4-1 in their next game this Friday at Stamford Bridge.
