Liverpool youngster Jordon Ibe has joined Bournemouth, the winger’s new club announced on Thursday night.
Ibe, who was heavily courted by Nigeria before opting to play for England, fell out of favour last season at Anfield following the arrival of Jurgen Klopp.
“Bournemouth have completed the signing of Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe for an undisclosed fee,” the buying club announced on the website.
“20-year-old Ibe has penned a four-year deal at Vitality Stadium to become the club’s fifth summer signing.”
“The England under-21 international made 41 appearances for the Reds in all competitions last season, including six games in the Europa League as Jurgen Klopp’s side made it to the final.”
AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said:
“We’re delighted to bring Jordon to the football club.”
“He played plenty of football with Liverpool last season and we’re looking forward to seeing him to continue to grow now with us, he’s a huge prospect.”
“We’ve now signed five players this summer, all of whom have an abundance of potential.”
“It shows that we’re serious about nurturing talent at this football club and we have the long term in mind when we say we want to stay in the Premier League.”
