Moussa Sissoko At The Centre Of Arsenal And Liverpool Transfer Battle
Set to ply his trade in the Championship with the relegated Magpies next season, Moussa Sissoko has made no secret of his intention to leave St James’ Park in the coming weeks, GiveMeSport reports.
Spanish newspaper El Confidiencial reports Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton are among a host of parties monitoring the player’s situation.
The Magpies, believed to be seeking offers of around €41 million for the powerhouse midfielder, may also be forced to stave off interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Hamburg.
It is remarkable to think clubs of such high stature would be keeping an eye on Sissoko during the summer transfer window given his inconsistent performances for Newcastle last season.
The 26-year-old managed a single goal and seven assists in 37 Premier League appearances last term as his side failed to beat the drop by two points in 18th position.
Managing to reverse his stuttering club form, Sissoko was a hugely impactful figure for Les Bleus at Euro 2016 and has emerged as one of the most in-demand midfielders in Europe.
