Riyad Mahrez Instructs His Representatives To Find Him A New Club
According to the Guardian, Riyad Mahrez has rejected the Leicester’s latest contract offer and has instructed his representatives to find him a new club this summer.
Mahrez reportedly wants to leave the English champions because he wants a new challenge away from the club.
The Algeria international, who joined Leicester in a £375,000 deal from Le Havre in 2014, was sensational for the Foxes as they claimed the premier league title last season.
He scored 17 goals and provided 11 assists in 37 league appearances, claiming the PFA Player of the Year Award.
Leicester City had offered Mahrez a new deal worth £80,000-a-week – less, incidentally, than the new £100k-a-week contract handed to Jamie Vardy – and Claudio Ranieri insisted the Algerian would stay at the club only this week.
