Antonio Conte: I’m Happy For Moses, Pedro, Cuadrado
Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte has heaped plaudits on Nigerian winger, Victor Moses, following his impressive display after coming as a substitute in the Blues’ 3-0 win against Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, reports Complete Sports Nigeria.
The Super Eagles star grabbed Chelsea’s third goal in the encounter.
It was his second goal in two games after he scored against Bristol Rovers in an EFL Cup game on Tuesday.
“I’m happy for Moses, I’m also pleased for the wingers Moses, Pedro and Cuadrado because these are great players with great talent,” the former Juventus coach told reporters after the game.
Moses was brought to Chelsea from Wigan Athletic by Roberto Di Matteo in 2012 but has struggled to make an impact at the former European champions since then.
He has spent the last three seasons on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham where, hampered by injuries and some inconsistent performances, he also made little impact.
The 25-year-old however seems reborn under Conte having impressed in pre-season and he is set to become an important part of the West London club’s squad this season.
