Chuba Akpom Wants Arsenal First Team Action
Nigerian youngster, Chuba Akpom, has stated that he has garnered enough experience from his loan spells to break into Arsenal’s first team this season, Complete Sports Nigeria reports.
Since breaking into Arsenal’s senior team, Akpom has been sent on loan to Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest.
And just last season, he was on loan to Hull City where he scored three goals from 35 appearances, and also helped them secure promotion back to the English Premier League.
During Arenal’s pre-season friendlies, Akpom scored a goal each against MLS All Stars, Chivas Guadalajara, Viking and Manchester City.
“I think that obviously reserve football and first team football is a big difference. The Championship is tough, playing games week in week out and experiencing it is a good experience,” Akpom told arsenal.com.
“I think that any player, if you go out on loan and get as many games as possible you’re going to come back experienced and I think I have.”
