Rashford Hits Hat-trick On England U-21s Debut
Marcus Rashford scored on yet another debut as he bagged a hat-trick in England Under-21s 6-1 victory over Norway’s Under-21 team on Tuesday night, Complete Sports Nigeria reports.
Rashford, who scored on his first appearance for the senior England team in addition to his Manchester United debut in both the Europa League and Premier League, scored his first goal on Tuesday in the 29th minute, before netting twice more in the second half – the last of which came from the penalty spot.
Chelsea trio Nathaniel Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Lewis Baker were also on the scoresheet for England, while Ghayas Zahid had Norway’s consolation in the 2017 Under-21 Championship qualifier.
Gareth Southgate’s side have now collected 14 points from their six qualification fixtures and sit top of Group 9 – two points clear of Switzerland Under-21s.
