Video Shows That Chris Smalling Was Responsible For All 4 Goals As United Fell To Chelsea

According to the Mirror, the Jose Mourinho ripped into stand-in captain Chris Smalling twice - once at half-time, again at full-time - for his terrible performance.

Mourinho is said to have been “incensed” not just with Smalling’s poor display, but his lack of leadership, too.

Smalling was given a rating of zero out of 10 by Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst.

“His worst performance in two years,” Luckhurt said. 

“Showed an appalling lack of judgement for the opener and overestimated Daley Blind's pace.”

Meanwhile, a video showing that the 26-year-old was at fault for each of Chelsea’s goals quickly surfaced.

It’s only in the past couple of seasons that Smalling has shown why Sir Alex Ferguson brought him to Old Trafford in 2010. But he’ll be wanting to forget Sunday’s stinker as quickly as possible.
