Inter Milan Announce Stefano Piolo As New Manager Following Frank De Boer Sacking

Inter Milan have confirmed that appointment of Stefano Pioli as their new manager following the sacking of Frank de Boer, 90min reports.
The club took to their official website to make the announcement, and stated that Pioli had signed a two-year contract that will keep him at the club until June 2018.
The 51-year-old joins the San Siro-based outfit after managing a number of other Italian sides throughout his managerial career, including Lazio, Palermo, Modena and Sassuolo.
Joininig Piolo at Inter are assistant manager Giacomo Murelli, technical assistant Davide Lucarelli and fitness coach duo Matteo Osti and Francesco Perondi.
Pioli’s first managerial role saw take charge of FC Bologna Jugend, Bologna’s youth academy, before far more notable spells came his way at Salernitana, Modena and Parma between July 2003 and February 2007.
The nomadic manager struggled to hold down a permanent position throughout the late 2000s, with other jobs seeing him take in time in both Serie A and Serie B with Grosseto, Piacenza, Sassuolo, Chievo and Palermo all within a four-year spell.
However, the Parma-born boss eventually found stability with Bologna – the club that he had begun his career with in July 2000 – and led the club to three successive seasons staving off relegation from the Italian top flight.
He was removed from his position as manager in January 2014, but was handed another opportunity in Serie A with Lazio, whom he guided to third in the league standings in his maiden campaign in charge.
However, Piolo failed to replicate the form he had shown in his first season with the Stadio Olimpico-based side, and received his marching orders in April. The ex-Fiorentina footballer takes up the reins after Dutchman de Boer was sacked on October 31 after just four wins in 15 games.
