Pep Guardiola Bans Samir Nasri From Manchester City Training For Being Overweight

Nasri has already felt Guardiola's wrath

One thing was guaranteed upon Pep Guardiola’s arrival at Manchester City, and that was for the Spaniard to stamp his authority nice and early.

Following a season where the Citizens narrowly pipped rivals Manchester United to the fourth and final Champions League spot, a number of changes were needed.
Guardiola has certainly gone about making such adjustments, with Ilkay Gundogan and Nolito recently arriving for a combined fee of £35 million, whilst the much-maligned Martin Demichelis has been released.
However, it would seem the former Barcelona manager’s ruthless side is slowly coming to the fore, with reports claiming he has warned his players that anyone who is overweight will be banished from training.
And he’s claimed his first victim: Samir Nasri.
Yes, the ex-Arsenal midfielder has been told he can’t train with his teammates until he loses weight,GiveMeSport reports. How embarrassing.
Guardiola is said to be monitoring all players’ diets, so much so that he’s banned them from eating and drinking a number of products.
Left-back Gael Clichy has since shed light on just how strict the dietary requirements are.
