VIDEO: New Liverpool Signing Georginio Wijnaldum Appears To Conjure Ball From Nowhere
Liverpool fans already look to the likes of Phillipe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino to be their side’s magicians, but it looks like Reds new boy Georginio Wijnaldum may literally be a wizard after a clip emerged online from his national team’s match on Thursday night, 90min reports.
Training ahead of the Netherlands’s 2-1 defeat against Greece, in which he scored, WIjnaldum is seen strolling around the pitch before magically flicking up a football and juggling it for a bit.
Is Gini our new Magician? Where did he get that ball from? 😂🎩 #LFC https://t.co/u2ZibF2RcB— liverpoolfc.hq (@liverpoolfc_hq) September 5, 2016
Daley Blind cuts through the video, and passes the ball to Wijnaldum, but it took us a fair few looks to see just where the balls pops up from.
Whilst the slight of hand-esque skill is no doubt fun to watch, the Netherlands’ performance against Greece on Sunday night was anything but, as they went down 2-1 thanks to goals from Kostas Mitroglouand Giannis Gianniotas.
Shame Gini couldn’t conjure a goal from nowhere!
