Liverpool midfielders Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson won’t be subject to any sort of action from the FA over their alleged strip club visit whilst on international duty with England, 90min reports.
The latest break has left its mark on England, with captain Wayne Rooney having to apologise for going on a late-night bender and having his drunken face and bloodshot eyes show up in the papers.
Newcastle’s Dwight Gayle, on the same night but a separate incident, reportedly had four teeth knocked out in a brawl at a club.
Reports have now surfaced, claiming that Lallana and Henderson quite the sultry affair at a strip joint the day after their World Cup qualifying win over Scotland and three days before the friendly draw against Spain.
According to the BBC, the FA won’t be taking any action against the Liverpool pair. BBC have also been made to understand that the governing body did not ask or force Rooney to apologise.
They are, however, investigating reports of several players having late nights out, and have placed a ban on such actions while on international duty.
As for Lallana and Henderson, they did not break the FA’s code of conduct, which are thought to be a set of guidelines and not set rules.
In any case, the players won’t have to worry about any of that until March next year, when the next international break is due. In the meantime, they will focus on getting back to the top of the Premier League table, with Chelsea having leapfrogged them over the weekend following their stalemate draw with Southampton.
