Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez has left training with national side Chile, with initial concerns that he had picked up a serious muscle tear to his calf, 90min reports.
However, the Chilean national side have since moved quickly to calm fears that it was a serious incident and have described it as a ‘low grade’, but have yet to evaluate the full extent of the injury.
The talismanic forward left this morning’s training session with the 2016 Copa America winners due to pain in his muscle and has undergone a scan to assess the full extent of the damage.

Sanchez, who is a now a major doubt to feature against Colombia in the World Cup qualifier on Thursday, has been a crucial player for his club this season and the news will no doubt be a massive disappointment to Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal fans will be praying for a speedy recovery, with the North Londoners set for a tough period of fixtures after the international break. Wenger’s side are due to take on both Manchester clubs before Christmas and would want Sanchez to be involved as they seek to confirm their title credentials.
